I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer in Verdigris Oklahoma. I am a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I've been in the health and fitness business for 34 years. My interest in health began at an early age. I had rhematic fever as a child and was on penicillin for 5 years. When I was in my teens I came close to losing the lower part of my right leg from an infection due to a motorcycle wreck. Being around hospital and doctors so much at an early age created a life time interest in health for me.
My mother was also an influence in my interest in health. She was always trying to management her weight and fitness when I was young. She used to watch Jack Lalane when I was a kid. She would follow him through his work out on TV in the living room. In the 1980's my mom opened a gym for women in Pryor Oklahoma. She had some special weight machines and taught aerobatics. This was about the time I started teaching Tae Kwon Do.
I joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 1984. The enlistment further entrenched my interest in health and fitness. We had physical training that included body weight circuits and obstacle courses that were fun as well as great work outs. While I was in 29 Palms California training for my Marine Corp occupation I taught Tae Kwon Do at the base in the evenings.
When I returned from the Marine Corps to Oklahoma I opened a Tae Kwon Do school in the city of Claremore,OK. I worked for Ford Motor Company full time and ran my Tae Kwon Do school in the evenings. My school in Claremore was open from 1985 to 1994 when I sold it to persue other interest and concentrate more on my family.
I have constantly been looking for ways to improve my performance and health. In 2008 I learned about the Paleo movement and adopted the lifestyle. I had tried just about every other diet out there over the last 30 years and this one worked. I've made changes over the last 5 years with the diet to make it work for me. I started with "The Paleo Diet" then moved to the "Primal Blueprint" and now to "The Perfect Health Diet". But the important thing was the Paleo movement got me back into concentrating on health and fitness. I was not only motivated for myself, I want to bring the message to others. Although the diet is the biggest part of the equation, the other aspects of the paleo lifestyle is what I really like to focus on with people. The exercise, getting outdoors, thermal challenges, building community, getting proper sleep, and learning how to play are the parts of the program I like to help people in corporate into their lives.
I retired from Ford in 2011 and now I'm working on building a business in health and fitness again. I got my certification as a personal trainer in 2012. In 2011 attended a workshop with Mark Sission in Kansas City. I went to Primalcon and PaleoFX in 2012. I attend PaleoFX again in 2013. I also went to the "Become Superhuman Live Event" in Spokane March of 2013. I'm working another day job and in the evenings I'm coaching two weight loss classes. The classes included all the aspects of the Primal lifestyle.

I am married and a grandfather times three.

I'm an introvert.

More of my story to come later.
